I bought a pair of Crankbrothers Double Shot 2's for my MTB so that my girlfriend can ride it too without needing cleats.

https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/crankbrothers-...

Got them in orange to suit my bike.

I picked up some Parcours Passista wheels about two weeks ago (and switched from 32mm to 25mm GP5000s) - I couldn't keep my old alloy wheels true and the hub bearings were totally dead so this was the only obvious way forward right?!

Decided to go for a Wiggle order, had to make it over £100 to get credit card protection didn’t I…? hehe

dhb waterproof back pack
dhb flashlight waterproof trousers
dhb extreme winter neoprene over shoes
dhb neoprene toe protectors
Prologo Kappa Evo saddle
Prime Doyenne Endurance saddle
Selle Italia Gel Flow saddle
(Do not get along with my eGravel bike’s OE Fizik saddle)

All good, delivered in 24hrs, little bag of Haribo still present.

Also ordered some SKS Bluemels 56mm mudguards and Muc-Off 80mm valves from Sigma. Typically these guards are going to need chopped up to fit my eGravel bike

Love my EE Wings. Pricey, but great cranks. Really stiff and beautiful to boot. Take a beating and still come up like new.

Make sure you use copper grease on the pedal threads, the centre retaining bolt and the spindle.

Other than that.....enjoy.

Due to the lack of availability for a hose kit for Code brakes (mental I know) I bought a cheap Guide RE from Tredz to get my Reactor up and running.

Managed a quick (very very wet) spin this afternoon

It’s a lot of fun and should be a good alternative to the Kenevo for tamer trails.

Nice! I love mine, I'm used to riding either a steel hardtail or my steel fully as well as my e-bike. My carbon Reactor feels like a right whippet compared those, lighter with a steeper head angle it pedals amazing but can still hold its own on the downhills, closest thing I've ridden to the impossible idea of a 'do it all' bike.

Does yours feel like it has more than 130mm on the back too? Must be something about the leverage ratio as mine almost feels like i'm riding my enduro bike sometimes....

How are the Guide REs? I’ve just bought a set for my brother. Powerful brakes on a low budget was what I was hoping for!

I’ve only ridden it once in some very tame trails but it put a big smile on my face. It feels very small and nimble compared to my Kenevo. I think it’ll be a great little do it all bike from mucking around on jumps at local spots to some proper riding.

To be honest, I’ve just nicked the caliper and hose to run with my Code lever because I couldn’t face mismatched levers. laugh

I don’t think you’ll go wrong especially for £86 for a pair from Tredz at the mo.

Well, this build is going to make my etape look like a cheap pauper!

Beautiful.

You can't beat steel frames IMO, mainly when it comes to hardtails for the slight 'give' they have but it also applies to fully's which just ride like butter. Yes they're slightly heavier but if you get something like a Cotic which uses ovalised Reynolds tubing the weight difference over carbon or ally isn't huge.

It's hard to explain how they ride, it's one of those things you need to try to understand. I come from a DH background though so my opinion on bikes is skewed by always focusing on how they descend over anything else, I'll drag anything to the top of a full if it's fun to ride down!
