I'd say there is quite an important difference: it's more like bringing a fake jules rimet trophy to a sunday league game - the yellow/rainbow jersey defines what a rider has achieved, rather than who they ride with/for. I don't have anything against people wearing yellow jerseys though.

edit: what simond said re price - we can't all be company directors! (Normally I'd say thats a silly question to ask about a training top, but this is cycling accessories we're talking about...)

You've got to be st hot to wear something that colour.

The closest analogy I can think of is turning up for a game of 5 a side in a pair of gold footy boots.

I'm not sure the yellow PHs cycling jersey looks much like a TdeF jersey. Apart from being yellow obviously. There are also green/white/polkadot TdeF jerseys other races like the Giro have pink leader jersey's. The Vuelta has a red leaders jersey. That doesn't leave us with much.

I've got a white jersey and unfortunately nobody has confused me with being a best young rider stage winner yet.
