He sure did - this was ridden by one of his team-mates on the Gan team. His smashed one from 'that' crash in the prologue was alongside this when they came back to Lotus HQ.
EDIT: 108 was the track bike, 110 was the road-going version that saw a lot of time-trial action before the UCI banned them for being too quick.
What was the actual reason they were banned?EDIT: 108 was the track bike, 110 was the road-going version that saw a lot of time-trial action before the UCI banned them for being too quick.

What tyres are you running on the cx? Picked mine up yesterday but don't think I'll keep the rapid robs too long.
Vittoria Rubino Pro 23mm - harvested from my old dead road bike. The rims are wider than normal but they sit just fine (and go to 120psi).The Rapid Rob tyres are absolutely awesome in wet mud and muck, but they're soft and draggy on the road.

General XC stuff really, he's only just turned 10 so nothing big ... Epping, Swinley ( blue.... don't think the red would be much fun on a rigid fork ). First trip will probably be to the MTB trail in the Olympic park ( not Hadleigh ) that sort of thing.
Ah okay, get him hooked That's a nice bike for a 10 year old.
(A nice bike for anyone )

Ah, cheers. I run 23s on several other bikes so am looking for recommendations to make this a winter commuter. Durano in 28 is looking favourable atm, although I'd still like a bit of off road capability I think. The Rapid Rob tyres are absolutely awesome in wet mud and muck, but they're soft and draggy on the road.

beeeeeautiful Bianchi, but shame that ths riser and stem must be that way
Thank you! I'll probably flip it in a few months once I've got use to it, but it felt like too much of a stretch. My other option is obviously a shorter stem but I'll ride it for a bit and see.Dammit said:
Thanks!
It's an Extrawheel Voyager - the first time I saw one was at the top of Trollstigen, which answered the "does this work" question.
I've replaced the wheel it comes with (it's total crap), and the mudguard (ditto).
Brilliant. Thanks. I love cycling gadgets like this. It's an Extrawheel Voyager - the first time I saw one was at the top of Trollstigen, which answered the "does this work" question.

I've towed a conventional trailer with my daughter aboard for a few years. You get used to using a lower gear for much of the ride but when you go downhill, it's like having a KERS boost. Great fun.

Well if it doesn't get him hooked ( tbh he's halfway there already ) then it will quickly gain a deore groupset while my 456 gets an upgrade That's a nice bike for a 10 year old.
