This week sees the completion of the xt groupset with a chainset M980 IIRC from Chain Reaction for my F29 Cannondale. Still wanted a triple ring, although the XT front mech ( mega 9) doesn't work with the chainset, that I had as a spare in the junk box and the inner cage locks on the middle chainring, when on the large ring. Had to get the adaptors from wheels manufacturing for converting the shimano chainset to fit the BB30 bottom bracket. So also ordered a matching front mech in 10sp guise. Also some Fox knee protectors and a full face helmet. The helmets are cheap as chips ( £43 ) so are ideal for a boys Welsh trip to Snowdon and Antur Stiniog in September. Also some Shimano AM45 shoes for Wales too and Spain for next year. Found some new cleats in my spares box, so that's handy, as now bolted in. Also a Ritchey seatpost to see if the Thomson post is the culprit for creaking on the F29 and so far its been silent since fitting, so sounding good. Been an expensive week for me.

Just arrived, going back to where my cycling began and getting a MTB built up, can't wait

No a bad way to get back into it!

Managed to find some forks for the Codeine at a sensible price, so they'll be on their way from Germany.

Nice wheels! Mine have been faultless and have taken a few nasty potholes without any bother too.
These will be my main wheels on the S-Works, I will obviously now keep an eye out for some deep section wheels for my 40th next year. I may well go back to Malcolm at cycle clinic and see what carbon rims he has at the time!

Worth popping into Halfords if you're near one as mine (High Wycombe) quite often has inners on the bargain table/basket. Picked up 5 for 50p each last time I was in, they had loads.

Snug.

Tenuous link time.

I had to buy some M8 nuts (as the only ones I had were Nyloc) to build my mech hanger alignment tool.

I have one of these, but yours does look a lot more manly!

Pair of Sugoi RPM bib shorts via SportPursuit.

Since getting the roadie I've been struggling along with a single pair of Giordana shorts which have actually been fine over 2-3 hours, but having to wash them after every ride before I can use them again is getting a bit old.

Not bought , but need to sell

I have a load of old wheels, nothing really decent and most of dubious quality, but working order, hence I don't want much for them

Gonna stick them on the FB cycling buy and sell pages, no doubt I will get asked for postage, I have a couple of boxes (maybe) how much will it cost to send 2 x wheels in a standard sized wheel box does anyone think?

Thanks

bang them on ebay

send them via interparcel - it is about a tenner for a pair in a suitably sized box if you pack them nicely
