The daily "I cycled to work" thread
Discussion
Awesome ride home today. After a really hard 3 weeks of cycling I was going to have a recovery week.... But my legs didn't feel too bad, it was dry, and I had a net tailwind so did some extra miles.
Just over 28 miles with 2100ft of climb, so not a flat route, and a 19mph average
Love the warmer weather. Around 20 degrees is absolutely perfect for me, though yesterday was warmer it was still an extremely pleasant 68 miles!

Global bike to work day or not tomorrow I'm going to check the weather before committing... good luck Ross!

I got rained on, but it wasn't cold so actually a good ride. Very late to work because my riding partner trying it out for Bike to Work Day was late, I had a puncture and the rain seems to send the car drivers mad.

I've put myself in the "knob" thread today.
Here's why.
Yesterday on my way to work I reached a set of traffic lights on the outskirts of town. Rather than filer past a line of traffic I thought I'd be nice and wait behind a BMW hp-spec' three series.
As I'm not doing my cycle proficiency I kept the bike upright with my feet on the pedals. A few seconds later the lights changed to green and traffic started to flow until Mr HP-whip decided to brake test me twice and laugh as he/she/it drove off.
I filtered past him/her/it and two others at the next choke point, let the first two back past before signaling and pulling out into the middle of the road so I could turn right further up. I didn't retaliate in kind so far as brake testing goes but Mr HP-whip obviously thought I might as he/she/it backed right off.
I'm often reminded of the "Dicks, pussies and aholes" speech from Team America World Police. Mr HP-whip if you're a member of this very fine forum; don't be a brake testing ahole.

I've said this before, but I think you need to chill a bit, you seem to have a lot of issues on the bikeHere's why.

I was in a good mood, didn't take it too personally and just filtered ahead. Even marked time with traffic so Mr HP-whip nor anyone else was held up. I think I've mellowed quite a bit.
