That looks great! I used to liyve riding in snow when I lived at home (edge of the peak District), but very limited opportunities where I live now.

It can be so tiring if it's deep, but keeps you warm.

I need to pluck a number to aim for 2021....
Cheers thumbup

My target was revised upwards twice, started at 2,500, then 3,500, and finally 4,000.

2,492 was my previous best.... yikes

Not bad, considering I work full time... laugh
Haven’t posted in a long while but still watch. Just wanted to say congratulations/well done. I don’t think I’ve done this many miles in my car this year, despite still working full time throughout. Have plans for next year but not as near as adventurous as yours. Hope you enjoyed every turn of the pedal.

Thanks! thumbup

The wife has only done slightly more miles in her car this year too!

19.69 miles today which is my "longest" ride to date

Just a quick observation. Is that rear mudguard blocking your light visibility?

Here’s a little antidote for the cold / wet / snowy pics - from my festive 500 at Disneyland in Hong Kong

Shan’t be too smug however, it’s dropped from 25C to 8C since yesterday.

Yesterday ride was a face full of snow, helpfully I left my glasses at home, tomorrow looks fun at -4 with wind chill hope my heated gloves arrive!!

Cannot beat the views when commuting into work on near deserted B roads though smile.

First road ride in too long today, only 50km to add towards the festive 500 but I've lost one of my overshoes and it was bloody freezing

First time in weeks I've properly enjoyed Surrey. Started to drain a bit finally so was grippy and fast for the most part

Very busy, lots of kids sessioning the big boy jumps

92km into, around, and back from, London today.

Cold, slow, but great fun. Did some Regents Park Laps, some proper sightseeing, managed to find somewhere for a tea and a sausage bap, and got to look at my mate’s Factor, which helped make up for me not having mine here with me a bit hehe

Where abouts were you? I went out in the Surrey hills today, tried somewhere only a mile from home and it was sticky and clay like.

We were up there yesterday for an all day session - started at Holmbury then made our way over to Pitch and then after lunch we thought it would be a good idea to go over to Leith Hill - what an awful decision. Non stop climbing the entire way and then a less than desirable Summer Lightening to go round. Simply not worth the effort and will stick with Holmbury and Pitch in future.

That was pitch hill, just below the viewpoint - thick and creamy

Never bothered with Leith hill yet, I wanted to go explore redlands/coldharbour this year but not really had a chance, not so fussed about what looks to be on offer at Leith. I always stick to Pitch/Winterfold

Winterfold was a bit sloppy but it always is. No where near as bad as it has been.

Just on the edge of rain, so the lovely powdery snow of the last few days was getting a bit heavy.

I’m not local, but I’ve past this on the M8 quite a few times, what is it?

It’s an actual megaphone. I can’t put my hands on the picture of the plaque I took earlier on this year at the moment, but it was installed late 90s and used to play music etc. It’s just off the green of one of the holes on the Polkemmet golf course. Part of that bizarre project to install art along the M8 which included the pyramids and the faces at Eurocentral.

I didn’t know they were all linked...

I always think the megaphone looks like some remnant from Teletubbies... laugh

Sketchy one today. Bit of a thaw yesterday then a temperature plummet over night, anything compacted was sheet ice and I consequently decked it a winner on some single track in the woods later on.
