It’s been raining here for what seems like weeks, but got the young bloke and his mate out for some muddy, puddle-dodging riding. Apologies for the fuzzy, potato vision photo - I was also dodging puddles at the same time...



Firetrail was mostly rideable but a few sections of the singletrack were utterly shagged.

Went out from the house and all was green. Rode to the top of the nearby hill and it was covered in freezing fog.

Cracking day at Mui Wo bike park today, on Lantau, an island off Hong Kong. This berm is on the main DH run back to the town, with the gleaming towers in the distance. I haven’t ridden an mtb in a few years, absolutely loved it!

As I climbed back out and got above the mist the view was great across the valley and the trees, though as usual potato camera on the phone doesn’t do it justice...

Thanks - I feel the same, a missed opportunity to bag a great pic - but who carries an SLR on a 70km ride...??

Got out for my first ride of 2021 over the weekend.

Started at -5, rose to -2. Main roads fine, off-road mostly fine...but side roads were like a rink. Riding like Bambi on ice.


Bloody great fun though.
