Yeah, I have done once a week for the last month! It's uplifting actually and the getting up gets easier! I've got a tight work and family schedule so fitting in long rides is pretty much impossible at conventional times. The dawn raid is great... quiet roads, great sunrises and a sense of satisfaction for the rest of the day!
Just twigged we've a mutual friend who you rode revolve with, Trevor. simonrockman said:
I've tried Strava on a few android devices. Including an S6edge and an LG G4. It crashes a lot. It seems to be very memory hungry.
Would it be more reliable on an iPhone? My main phone is a Windows Phone and I'm coming round to the though that I'm going to have to give up on the platform, much as I love it. So I now need to decide between Google and Apple.
PURELY on the basis of Strava which is more solid? I don't want to start a phone war here and as I've built phones and spent most of my life reviewing them I think that I can make my own mind up on the other stuff.
Neither, get a dedicated cycle GPS.Would it be more reliable on an iPhone? My main phone is a Windows Phone and I'm coming round to the though that I'm going to have to give up on the platform, much as I love it. So I now need to decide between Google and Apple.

Passed 5 years at my current job last week.
In that time I’ve ridden in to work 721 times. This is a total mileage of 15,141 just to and from work, 3000 per year.
If you work out an average of 270 work days per year, I’ve ridden in 53% of the time. However, when you take out my extra time off for things such as a broken foot, work trips, days working from home type stuff its actually closer to 60%, or 3 days per week on average.
Fun fact for Thursday.
