Going 'continental' with brake setup.
Discussion
I've driven RHdrive and LHdrive cars on both the right and left. I can even brake with my left foot (there was a reason). I play drums normally right handed but can make a decent stab at left handed. I'm left handed at writing but was forced to write with my right in the early 1970s and I can still write with my right today. I can even shoot both pistols and rifles left and right handed.
BUT I could NOT get used to a left handed front brake when I hired a bike in France for 2 weeks, so good on you for learning and being comfortable with it.

I changed my brake levers to 'Continental' style over 30 years ago and now when I build a bike or change the cables I automatically have the front brake on the left. I think at the moment of the dozen or so bikes I own 3 are still on British style levers so I have to think about it for the first minute or so when I take one of these bikes out
