No jokes or sarcasm, how did your insurance claim pan out in the end?
Did you manage to get anywhere?
It did pay out yes. I got a solicitor involved through work, who took on the claim and saw it through from start to finish. I got a cheque through the post early Jan after 9 months. Tempting as it is to go out and splurge on something ridiculous, I have resisted and just allocated some money to upgrades, like these wheels.Did you manage to get anywhere?

I have a set of Reynolds Assault SLG's which I’m pretty happy with so far and seem to handle pretty well even in the mental winds we have recently had and the braking is great.
Previously I just had a set of Farsports 38mm Carbon Clinchers and to be honest apart from a slightly flexy rear wheel (down to the hub and you can spec other ones and only noticeable in an all-out sprint) and the braking surface did wear out quicker than say a Zipp or a Reynolds but for the money they were brilliant (£360 all in delivered) and where actually lighter than my Reynolds and they survived some pretty hard pothole strikes etc without any issues apart from 1 broken spoke.
I wouldn't rule out the Chinese option and Farsports are fairly well reviewed as one of the better cheap chinese wheel manufacturers.
