Back on the daily commute (Specialized Crossroads Comp) after putting it away from December through to mid March, with minimal off-road riding in last 4 months. I've been back on it for 7 days now and after a little bit of rust my times are comparabe to last years average. Still 4 minutes off my best but for now happy to be back at the 2009 average. Just wondering how many of you are getting back on it & how far away from last years times are you?

Or is it just me obsessed with beating yesterdays time into work!!!

All my commutes are logged by GPS using my phone and I transfer all my info into http://www.bikejournal.com , so no, not the only one interested, albeit I am after miles more than speed (aiming for 6000 miles this year, passed 1400 miles YTD yesterday, so a bit of catching up to do). Looking back over my records, I got back up to an average speed of 16mph in mid February. My commute is just over 16 miles, so keeping it under an hour is my aim.

I'm around 2mph off my best average speeds and that equates to a fair few minutes off the best times of last year.

I put some of that down to the terrible road surfaces though and the fact that I am a bit nervy of traffic again!
