The Cycle Show Birmingham
Discussion
I hope people who go enjoy it.
I went to the London cycle show in January of this year and I won't be going again. Thought it was a waste of time.
If its anything like the London show, you'll get better bargains sat at home buying online. There is a reason why the big names don't attend these shoes.
Kinesis are there, so the person wanting to buy a CX bike will have at least one decent one to look at

I am going to look not buy, once I have spoken to the manufacturers and looked at the models I will see what deals I can find.I went to the London cycle show in January of this year and I won't be going again. Thought it was a waste of time.

I think this was the best cyclocross bike around. For me, one bike and 2 set of wheel, one winter set and one summer set set with slicks is all I need.
What do you think of current cyclocross / gravel type bikes ?
The Aernario Signature Edition looked a bit ropey (frame-wise) for something that costs 15 grand
I know it's a raw finish, but the frame looked like it had sticker adhesive all over it
My personal favourite of the show was the Argon18 Krypton X-Road. Looked fantastic. The inner hipster in me liked the Condor Paris, and I was impressed to see some "famous" bikes too, including Wiggo's Union Jack time trial bike from the latest World Champs, one of the Brownlee brothers' Boardman Air from the 2012 Olympics, and best of all, Chris Boardman's Lotus bike from 1992!

I also liked the Colnago C60 frame, but thought it looked a bit dated now. Wife said no more bikes
Bit dated? Aren't they brand new? I think the Italian stuff you either love it or you loathe itEdited by 3rtt on Wednesday 1st October 20:39
I'm a bit more attached to the Pinarello Dogma F8 having seen one in the flesh (and been dragged away from them)

Couple of things I noticed. The Hope road disc brake set up looked good... Called the V-Twin with the master cylinders under the stem to keep the cable runs short.
What's going on with the extended seat tubes and the external 'seat posts'? How long has that been around?
Cube seemed to have every connotation of bike in every colour scheme imaginable!
A lot of full suspension bikes seem a bit ridiculous. And fat bikes are ridiculous.
My favourite bike:
