Ive signed up for this and would appreciate advice.
It consists of 300 miles in 3 days and mucho ascent particularly on the second day.
Ive no problem with the 100 miles but its just doing it for three days.
Ive got 6 months to work up to it,any tips on training.
I would imagine the biggest problem would be day after day after day as its just not practical for me to train for that.
Any thoughts would be extremely helpful.
Incidentally its Tour of The Highlands

So on paper it shouldnt be too hard because You know the route and You know the distances... I assume this is the right event https://tourhighlands.wordpress.com/route/
In which case your thinking should be along the lines of day one you will be fresh so full of energy, enjoy it, the route looks fun to be honest, some fairly short sharp slimbs but you can spin up them in a tiny gear knowing that you have two more days to come. Eat and drink well, rest and stretch once you have finished, replenish energy stores and sleep well... day two is a tough one but again you know what to expect and when. I'm sure you will feel it in your legs but its amazing what fresh kit and a good breakfast can do... Day three is easy, yes there is a savage climb right at the end but by then you will be buzzing after an easy day and ready for it.
The website isnt clear about sleeping arrangements etc which will be fundamental to your wellbeing and recovery. I assume you have to fend for yourself in which case dont scrimp on your accomodation and treat yourself. Take things like a foam roller and learn what stretches etc will be of most benefit. Start doing them now too as they are proven to reduce injuries as well as aid recovery.
Looks great, if I hadnt spent all of 2016 brownie points already I'd be keen...

As an aside, wessex is a brilliant event. Needless to say, you need to get in some long rides / just spend time in the saddle. It's REALLY steep in some parts, best have suitable gearing. Otherwise enjoy!
Good to hear that, I'm really looking forward to it!I've done Etapes and Marmottes over the last few years, so I've done a few long hard days... and plenty of climbing... Just not 3 on the trot!
