im trying to take my bike to bits and replace some of the parts(my bikes 3 years old and never had any new bits) but i cant get the swing arm or the cranks off. Is there any method to removing these bits or are mine just stiff.

this is the bit for the swingarm.

Also what is the name for the dark metal bar that the cranks are attached to because mine is a bit mangled and my pedals keep coming loose so im going to get a new one.

Thanks in advance

Its a CBR Thunderace. I dont think its anything decent, i got it about 3 years ago when i was more interested in how it looked but now im trying to make it a bit better, only thing is i think its got a pretty heavy frame but i cant afford a new bike just now so ill just have to put up with it.

Heres a picture of how it looks just now dont have any pics of it all together.

nope im not planning any serious riding once i put it back together. I actually do most of my riding on back roads and country tracks not any proper trails, (There isnt any trails or i know of nearby)i was planning on saving up money for a hardtail in 6 months maybe because its probably more suitable. This ones only getting taken apart to get rid of lots of squeaks and rattles and all the gunk thats built up.
