Hi,

I've not bought brake pads for my bike before. Any recommendations on what pads to go for and where to get them from please?

Thanks,

Dan

I probably should add that I have a Cannondale Carbon Rush and I use it 50/50 road/gravel usually, just cross country across the New Forest. Usually only riden in fairly nice, dry and warm conditions so wet use isn't too much of an issue. I'm thinking I'll go for Organic, good option? I'm not sure which brand to go for though.

One more question!

I'm thinking of upgrading the rotor size. This simple enough? I assume I'll just need to buy an adaptor to space the caliper out a bit, yes?

Hi,

Sorry for being a numpty but I'm a bit out of touch with bikes and accessories. Haven't bought anything for my bike for ages and I'm a bit behind on the terminology.

CRC are listing various different adaptors the brakes, IS, standard, pole mount etc and I don't know what each of them mean! To make matters worse I can't find a ruler anywhere in the house and I threw my tape measure out the other day because it broke so I can't even measure the centres of the mount on the forks.

Can you tell from these photos which bracket I'll need to space the caliper out to fit a 180mm disc rather than the standard 160mm? Would appreciate it! I'm house bound at the moment due to an operation and would like to get these ordered up. Thanks a lot.

Different adaptors are listed here: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx...
