Winter clothing - What and where to buy?

Im after some cheap cycling tights, jacket etc for the cold weather. Im new to winter cycling so im fairly clueless as to what I need?

I went out with a group on Sunday and most people wore tights (under shorts), base layer (under jersey) and some wore jackets.

I only need some cheap stuff as I only train once a week on the road but I don't mind spending up to £20/£30 on each item?

Does that pricing seem reasonable?

Thanks for the info. I also have a few base layers from snowboarding but I wasn't sure if these would be ok.

Im going to pop into Sport Direct this evening and see if they have any cheap tights and jackets.

Im only out for 2 hours max so waterproofing isn't a massive issue. Its good to know I can use my existing base layers I have though.

Some good links, thanks. I picked up some very cheap Karrimor tights last night just to last me until some new stuff arrives.

I didnt realise how much winter road kit I would need!
