Indeed. It would be nice to see a few more entries in TMD
You don't really mean that do you The sportsman entries are looking really good. 37 in Super Pro - that will be a tough class to win, still some entries missing as well.
Shame that after all the lobbying the Super Modified drivers did, only one of them has entered Comp Eliminator

So wild guess Tet, by the engine size it will not be a blown car
You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment :-)topfuelgb said:
And good luck, its huuuuuge fun
With the amount I'm spending on it, it had better be! I know that many people around here always claim funny cars are where it's at, but for me it's always been about dragsters. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit nervous, but I'm also looking forward to it.5 in TF now but only 1 in TMD this being a UK entry I am not familiar with. Over the last 3 or 4 years I have thought TMD was really the best class with 8 or 9 really competitive entries but I know at the end of last year everybody seemed to be saying they would not do the FIA series in 2013 and/or were retiring and it looks like it's come to pass. TMFC on the other hand looked like it was on the way out 3 or 4 years ago but now looks much stronger. I assume the UK based Fuel funnies will be entering at some point and some of the other classes like Pro Mod will continue to fill up so overall the entry will be OK but I do worry about the TMD class for 2013.

the entrys not closed yet. there will be others, update 25th... didn't take long did it...what lobbying... Most of the SM guys realy didn't want the comp eliminator deal at all. but had to accept the decision (which they had little or no chance of changing) Which was to give them a chance to run comp as SM was being dropped,

Well, I think we've seen things differently. I was never a pauper, but it's true that in the previous few years, I haven't had anywhere near the amount of money necessary to drive at this level, and that I've been racing on a shoestring in Sportsman ET because that's all I could afford. Bracket racing has been a lifesaver for me in that respect, in that I've been able to carry on racing on a significantly smaller budget. Were we to go back to the days of heads up sportsman racing, I simply wouldn't have been able to get involved. Fortunately my financial situation is starting to change for the better now, so I'm making the most of it while I can. Although even now, I'm far from flush with cash, and this is stretching me pretty thin. But like you say, in part it comes down to how much you want it...And FWIW, I've never thought of you as an asshole pro racer. Sorry if I came across that way.
