Ok the main bits were said in the other thread, which were:

Proposal 1: Cannonball Shootout

Quite simply, every car in the series runs a set amount of runs (Normally 3 runs for a 2 day meet and 5 runs for a 3 day meet) and each drivers E.T throughout the rounds are added together. At the end of the last round, every drivers E.T's are totalled and the two drivers who are numerically lowest pair off for a final at the end of the last day. If they have broken, to make sure a final is run the next lowest numerically which is still ready to run will run the final.

Proposal 2: The 'USA' Way

The second way is that everyone runs in their allocated run times, running their total depending on length of the meeting (2-3 day etc..) and at the end of the last qualifier run each of the drivers quickest runs are picked out and whichever two drivers had the quickest E.T at any point in the weekend who are still running run the final.

My personal opinion on the matter is that we run the Cannonball Shootout; The pro's of this style is that the way to win is to be consistently quick, not just have a single loaded run and then sit out the rest of the weekend and wait for the final. The cannonball shootout would lead to more people going out every round to race in front of the crowd and keep the excellent standard we put on as a class to all the fans. Everyone will still get the same amount of runs as of over the last two years and also make it more competitive.

Plus a cannonball shootout is more fun! Throwback to the good old days of the Fuel and Alky coupes slugging it out.

Please post your thoughts on the matter.

When the two teams make the final do the other cars in the class get to run before the two with the lowest e.ts??

No, it will be just the final two. That way everyone can see that it's the final ... not the final pair!
