S2 christmas present

i have been asked to buy an S2000 for a friend's husband for his christmas present (all right for some!!) but don't know too much about the S2 and need some buying advise.

the budget is 15k, with no more than 50k on the clock.


should i avoid any year, and what know problems should i look out for?

its a bit wierd buying a car that i won't get to drive!!!

does anyone know where i can find a buying guide for a S2000, what to look out for etc.
