Hi Folks

Booked in on friday to have the revised suspension geometry done by ABP and wondered what are peoples thoughts that have had this done. Didn't have long to speak to the guys as it was getting on a bit. If any ABP peronnel are members perhaps they could add their advice alongside some impartial comments if they have more time

Thanks in advance
Andy

Cheers Justin

What was on the before and after readout? Are we just talking angles etc or some sort of performance measure? Tracking is currently out and I asked Honda how much they'd want to re-align and re-track the wheels and they said 130 quid, and that's just for standard spec, so I thought an extra 20 for the revised geometry would be a better way to spend my money

I've had Toyo Proxis T1-S on mine for the last two years and hate them. I'm no expert but from the way the car feels I'd say the side walls weren't stiff enough. In faster corners with a few bumps the car wobbbles about too much and doesn't inspire confidence. Wet weather grip, which was what everyone said was good about these tyres, isn't good either. Just waiting for the rears to wear out now and will swap to the Yokos.

Cheers folks

Had it all done

My wallet is considerably lighter to the tune of 700 quid (service, 2 new tyres, geometry) but what a difference

First chance I got I threw it around a roundabout (a quiet one) and managed to control the car perfectly with the throttle swapping between understeer and oversteer at will and felt everything as it happened. Basically did a few laps of said roundabout and built up the speed until the rear end progresively stepped out of line which simply needed opposite lock or lift to quell. Fantastic degree of control. I can't praise the modification enough. I urge anyone that hasn't had this done to go there now and do it. Your car gets trasfomred from something out of it's depth with a crap chassis to the most feelsome thing you'll drive. Great

Now, must go and do some overtime
