coming home from work toady, going though a rather large puddle, everything was fine, untill some prick in a lorry went flying past the other way. However the car was fine until, i noticed the engine check light came on, then i noticed that the speedo was not working, then to top things off, the esp light came on and now the power steering isnt working! STrange though that the engine is fine, apart from no v tec, but i think this is a safety design on the engine whilst the engine check light is on! im thinking ecu? where is it? so i can try and dry it out or something?? any suggestions will be great, cheers gents
Its an s2000, its an import on a 99 plate. Today has been quite good, i managed to sort all the probs out apart from the eps, power steering. Still not working! So far ive only had to cash out 25 quid, so its not all bad news. I have noticed that the idle fluctuates a little some times, so ill try what you said about the sensor. Ill keep you posted about the power steering! Fxxking weather, supposed to be the summer!!
ha ha, my baby is back on the road!! Because the car is an import they have a converter wired next to the speed sensor, that was the problem. It had packed up, giving the same problems as if the speed sensor its self had packed up!! And the best thing is, i got the part cheap as chips, and the whole thing with diagnostics cost me 60 quid. So its a happy ending.
