I'm am looking into the possibility of head south to try Croft (closest track south of the border) I have found there is a trackday by Javelin planned for next friday. Has anyone on here been on a Javelin track day? Well organised or not? Full of hot hatches? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have done loads now with Javelin and think they are very well organised.
Always a big range of cars, hot hatches up to 911's.

I just did Anglesey and was initially concerned that they had probably booked too many cars but it worked out fine.

Good value too in my opinion.

I hope so! I'm booked to do Oulton Park with them in December, reading their site they seem well organised and take safety quite seriously, that's only what advice I can offer from browsing their site though!

I've done a couple of days with Javelin and can't recall any problems.

Done Croft, Cadwell and a few others with Javelin - very well organised, friendly but don't tolerate idiots, happy to recommend them.

I did Bedford with them earlier this year. I was black flagged twice, and warned about working under my car in the pitlane. They were right and I'd use them again.

Nsa, do you mind if I ask what you were black flagged for?

Not done a TD with them but gone to a couple of VXRPower Thunder Road events they've organised and both times have been class acts. So if their TD's are anything like those you'll have nothing to worry about.

Did a day at Anglesey with them last year. Only 12 cars booked on and they still ran it. Speaks volumes IMO.

In fact, I just booked to go with them at Donington again on the 16th

Did one, got flagged off for dripping PAS fluid after a spin. Sorted it out and went back out.

They were a nice pleasant crew and well organised, the day had a good feel to it.

Would book another without question

I'm confirmed for Croft next Friday. I've used Javelin before and would definitely recommend them. As for the variety of cars, if you click 'book', then 'view attendees' you can see the attendance list (there is a healthy mix of cars for the 13th).

Thanks for all the feedback, my mate would be coming from Aberdeen and me from Edinburgh. Wouldn't be great to get there and find a convention of idiots.

Thought it would have to be half decent given it's linked to the Croft site and looks nationwide. Now will have to see if respective bosses will let us go play for a couple of days

I was at Donington with them on 29th Mar. It was my first (and so far, only) trackday. I thought they were very good.

BMWCC are charging £275 for the National on 9th Oct, and Javelin are charging £199 for the GP on 13th, so it's a no-brainer for me. I'm going again on 13th Oct.

The extras are very reasonably priced. Tuition = £20. Helmet Hire = £10.

[edit: I'd wrongly written 16th Oct]

Used them many times and they do not tolerate bad driving. Any problems see Colin, Sue, Bob or Lee and they will sort the problems. Trust me their eyes are everywhere!!!!

£229 for the 16th... Was it originally £199?

Sorry, it's 13th October. Cost me £199 to buy on 1st September. The prices do go up nearer the day.

I've heard of people turning up at lunchtime and handing over some cash to do an afternoon. I have no idea if Javelin allow this.
