Nurburgring Nordschleife April 11th 2017 - Circuit Days
Discussion
Run by Circuit Days, £100 off if you book before 1/1/2017
Book here
My first trackday at the Ring, having vowed not to go back on a Touristenfahrten day, can't wait.
For those interested on making a few days out of it, there's also a trackday at Spa the day before, also being held by Circuit Days. I did this day in 2014 and it was superb fun.
Will be there in my Cooper S.

Booked on this. Going half's with a mate. At that price be daft not to.
Bog stock e36 coupe on decent all weather rubber. I'll take a set of track tyres in case it's dry.
Been before at that time of year and it was brilliant - in a single lap had pretty much every type of weather imaginable - rain, sleet, snow the lot. Yet an hour later the sun was out.

What is the difference between a Circuit Days day at the 'ring and a Destination Nurburgring event?
Circuit days events ant the Ring tend to be slightly off season, however there is generally a lower number of cars entered on the event. This doesn't mean that it's any less of a well run trackday. Often you will find Darren working with Chris at Circuit days events. Last years April Circuit day event at the Ring was a belter. Dry track, well mannered entrants and a good mix of metal. Often on a Circuit days event you may well also find more novices than a destination event, this does not cause any problems as the track can easilly accomodate everyone without any conflict. Personally i'd also recommend Circuit days at the Ring if it's your 1st venture there but also to ping Chris an e-mail and reserve an instruction slot, be it 20min or a full day. It will help you wether you are a novice or an experianced ring veteran.
If anyone is interested in any of the Circuit days events at the Ring or Spa you will usually find myself (Roy) or Andy handling the instruction on the day. Together we have a wealth of knowledge of both venues to enable you guys to get the best out of your investment in a Circuit days event.

Another difference is that CD don't have the same deal with FrozenSpeed that DN have, which is a shame but that shouldn't affect your decision either way.
But it appears that from 2017, CD are doing a similar deal with their usual photographer, Nick of xtreme-sports-photography.comHere's pic from earlier today
I did Rockingham on Saturday and the Golf didn`t miss a beat.
Next outing is the Nurburgring on April 11th and I`m already to go. Isn`t it a good feeling when you know there is nothing that NEEDS doing ?. I`m sure I`ll find something to do but it`s only nice to have jobs rather than something essential.

I can't wait for my first Nurburgring trip of the year with Circuit Days on Tuesday 11th April. Already praying to the weather gods...I'll drive down to the Ring (via the Eurotunnel) on 10th and head back to Blighty on 12th April. Staying at the Lindner Casino hotel.
It will also be my first track day in the McLaren 12C so quite the baptism of fire! Paint protection film has been applied and a pre-track inspection carried out, so I'm ready (as I'll ever be) to roll.
