Here are some videos from Friday. I've got footage of most cars, including the RX-7 having a spin, so let me know if you want to see your car.

I was with two mates on that track day, one was in a black Megane RS and other was in a black Polo GTi, if you have any footage of them?

We really enjoyed the day, look forward to getting mine out there soon too

Well seeing what the weather is dishing up today we got away with things alright yesterday. Just a couple of showers in the afternoon to add some spice... On the whole everyone driving really well together too.

Although it was great afterwards quite a few people left, there were only ever a handful of cars out and from 4 to 5 almost had the track to ourselves.

Reminds me of a day at Abingdon some years ago when the clouds were gathering. It's like an Exocet - you can see it coming but there's bugger all you can do to stop it!

Hi Tim

I misinterpreted your post above and was looking out for a "brand new" grey Caterham. Suffice to say, you passed me a number of times during the day! Nice looking car and very quick. I was enjoying the day until a seal on my diff went at about 3pm and I was black flagged frown

My first visit to Abingdon but I'll be going back for sure. I recommend the instruction from MSE guys.

Was Erling Jensen there? I did a session with him in the MSE Elise and learned a lot in a short time.

Yes he was there. I had a session with Phil and it was invaluable for checking where I am going wrong.

Yes, will be there. Look for the 2 orange Westfields and say hello. smile

It is a great track layout and far more technical than it first looks.

I have just seen the layout seems to have changed from last year, so ignore my comment about it being more technical than it looks.

Unfortunately not, just whatever you take for yourself. Abingdon serves up tarmac, grass and sun/wind/rain*
