yup I 'll be there in my Twingo for day 3 of the 100 hour track challenge. I need to do 5 hours on track, I am hoping it will be wet.
I'll be there in my Westfield. I am hoping it will be dry...

5 hours is a strong target - look forward to seeing it!

might be difficult, as I thought we started on track at 9, but it appears that we don't start til 10. I live 15 mins away from the airfield so extra long lie in tomorrow...

Just been out and fueled the car ready for the Morning...

Looking like a grey AM and possibly moist PM...

Fingers crossed....

Enjoyed today immensely.

Some great cars and great people, as usual with MSE.....

Highlights for me :
How good my car is on track and how good 888r's hang on (first track day in my own 7)
The FAF Blue 595 F500 (250hp!), peddled well and a great guy too
The Blue 7 that spat monster overrun flames
Yellow Elise - Honda'd ?
The sound of that supercharged MEV

Great day, can wait to egt along for another day....

My mates 300hp MX5 had brakepads resembling small bonfires after 3 laps - that'll teach him to use EBC lol....

There was a dark blue Elise that was doing some impressive flames too cool

Was a good day overall. Needed a few more blue flags but I felt like I was starting to get to grips with that layout, so quite the success!

LOL just noticed this. :-)

The Yellow Elise was mine - yes Honda conversion.

The Purple coloured one has approx 190bhp - Rover K on throttle bodies / headwork / cams / exhaust etc. The blue S1 was totally standard.

Does anyone know if you can just book the basic trackday and then buy the additional bits (tuition, extra driver etc) on the day?

Thanks

They are very flexible but if you haven't driven the track before and want tuition it might be worth booking so you can get an early slot.

Its dead easy to book the Track day and then add on from there....

Except - I wanted tuition on the day at Abingdon - and the guys were ALL fully booked up.....

YMMV obvs....

You're going to love it. Take many, many clothes, inc. a waterproof - it'll be pretty cold in Feb. Wish my car was ready, but I still need to do some work. I'll be at Abingdon soon though.

Hey Lenny - Ill see you there.

I'll be the one in the silver 182 who has no idea what hes doing and is either in a wall or going at 10 mph

Good news - no walls. However, if you have aggressive tyres and it's very wet, you may struggle to keep up with the van on the sighting laps!

I have the st tyres that came with the car when I bought it (toyo proxes) so if its wet I am sure it will be shocking

I am basically setting a standard with the car as it is so that I can appreciate all the upgrades as I do them smile

Although the most significant upgrade is probably going to need to be the driver

@z4mcl Is this your first track day or just the first in this car? Thankfully there is nothing to hit at abingdon - If there was I would probably have hit it at some point... I've trimmed the grass for them a few times wink

This is my first one in this car (my old one got written off by some senile German tourists) so I'm planning to do exactly what your are (basically see what needs fixing or upgrading)
