Booked. Frightened.
Since you live 90 mins away, I guess you have an annual pass and rock up any evening you feel like.I own a 330Ci with a mate back in the UK. Not sure he can make it out though - if he can't I'm in my F-Type. I think that's probably the most scary thing. Praying for a dry day!

Ashamed to say it's my first visit. Didn't really get time last year and it's rained every day for the last six months... Sun came out this week though.

Book some instruction, we have 5 very good instructors on hand to help. Email Chris at corcuit days for info. I own a 330Ci with a mate back in the UK. Not sure he can make it out though - if he can't I'm in my F-Type. I think that's probably the most scary thing. Praying for a dry day!

Thanks Chris I already booked an hour with the booking. Would appreciate it early on in the day! (will mail you).
DN/CD tuition at the Ring is spectacular value (especially since it's included in the track day cost). I have benefitted from tuition several times, but you do have to be patient.Very few instructors are as unhinged as Roy, they want evidence that you can drive a lap without endangering life or limb before getting in your passenger seat. That means you need to do a 'follow the leader' type lap with a walkie talkie that you can't hear, before they consider giving you more active tuition.
But it is absolutely worth the effort, because when you do get tuition from your passenger seat from someone who is determined to coach you then you will learn a lot.
Another form of 'tuition' is a lap in one of their race prepped cars, such as this lap in a Vantage

Alternatively you could pay almost as much as the cost of trackday entry for this on a TF day.

Added bonus. The GP circuit is open in the evening for tourist rides. 18:00-20:00.
If you haven't done it before it's brilliant and well worth doing. You pay a fixed price for a timed session.
A bit freaky as you don't need a helmet and can pretty much pass where you like.
and in the past they seems very lenient on drifting If you haven't done it before it's brilliant and well worth doing. You pay a fixed price for a timed session.

ill go on for 1 or 2 session - would be rude not to

Not correct with Circuit Days Paul. We sit in with the client. We are un-hinged enough to not worry about whether they can drive. We are bonkers, but we do help an awful lot of people in whatever car on the greatest and unforgiving track in the world.Very few instructors are as unhinged as Roy, they want evidence that you can drive a lap without endangering life or limb before getting in your passenger seat. Our aim is to off-load enough help where needed to make sense of the track, and to enhance the experience of driving in safe but fun limits.

BUT, please remember that it is very hard on brakes, so once you get the red flag to peel off the track, do not park up but circulate the paddock for a few minute to cool everything down. So easy to screw up a set of discs by just parking up. Not to mention firery brakes.
I cant wait... I went in the McLaren last year but rented a Swift from Rent4Ring, this year I'm going in my new track car...
Paul (ukkid) are you doing circuit days? See you there if so!
Does anyone have Andy's contact details who gave me some amazing tuition last year (insane[ly fast] biker)? Would love to hook up with him again.
Cheers,
Joel

Would love to be there, but I've already allocated all my annual leave for this year. That also means I'm not going to be able to make Blister Berg right after DN19, big shame!http://www.destination-nurburgring.com/2017-nurbur...
Hope to get a ride in your M3 later in the year.
