Guys,

Thanks for all of your help, I have managed to pick up a "ready made" car in the UK... and its even already got a ring sticker on it!!!

Who is the best person to speak to at RR?? bearing in mind that the only German I know streches to telling a really bad joke about an egg and a river...

DP, speak to Uwe or Meino about storage at RR, tell them you know me and they'll sort you out. Don't Email or fax them as they'll ignore it.

Karl.

31st March to April 2nd, plus again last weekend of June.

Saturday night (1st April) is the planned 'Wild Pig and Pool Sharking' evening, so please warn the locals and book the pool table for us Oh, and arrange a wild pig for Ross, human or otherwise. It is April fool's day after all - God gave us April, I'm bringing the fool

Should be a laugh. Look forward to seeing you there.

There just may be the possibility that a share of the infamous 'ringers' C-Car is to be offered for sale to a suitably qualified driver. Great way of having a fully prepped 'ring toy at your disposal without the hassles of getting it to and fro.

MK 2 GTi with all the proper bits and pieces.

What happened to the last C-Car in the hands of a "qualified driver"

Having taken the piss - I should also say that I reckon (not being directly involved) that the C-Car is a really good idea and from what I've seen works really well. To use a light weight car with decent suspension and set up purely for the Ring is really nice.

I suspect that many people would be put off by the cost. I would say that running your own car is in fact way more expensive - the costs are hidden (waerr and tear, tyres, servicing, brakes, suspension parts, etc etc) - but with the C-Car it has all been carefully calculated.

I leave my french clutter over there for 8 months of the year and it seems to work ok. The only dodgey bit is driving it back at the end of the year. Broken down a couple of times already. Easy though just book an extra day off work, because I know its going to happen

Also ome good guys out there to work on the car when it goes wrong.

And when you add up the cost of those 2 days off work & the fuel etc etc, you may indeed find its cheaper to have it transported back, not that I can think of anyone to do that sort of thing of course

I was offered a £200 lift back last year. It was much more fun to have my drive shaft replaced just outside Liege, my breakdown recovery people taxi me into the middle of Liege, put me up in a nice hotel and taxi me back to pick my car up in the morning....
