Nürburgring 2023

Yep I’ll be there for my first Trackday in the 600LT Spider (not my first Trackday ever!) …Im always a little nervous when taking a new car round there for the first time but I spend months anticipating the trip and then when it’s over I’m usually relieved but also a little deflated that the next trip is 12 months away !

Give someone a passenger a lap in the Golf, which I like doing anyway. In return for a passenger lap in a 600LT.
Let me think about it.
Yes.
Excellent let’s figure it out there, I have a half days instruction booked for the first day so want to get that under my belt first and hopefully will then be ready to put some respectable laps together for passengers later in the day or on day 2!Let me think about it.
Yes.
Has anyone been in a Tesla? I see there's a Supercharger actually outside the track. However, there's only 4 spaces and they're one of the ones which are open to all EVs so I just wondered if anyone knew how busy it was?
Also, can anyone tell me when the track is open to the general public? In particular on a weekday in August, it looks like the track is only open between 5 & 7.30pm??? Is that normal? What happens the rest of the day?

Most weekdays it is only limited evening opening. Rest of the day most of the time is Industry Pool - manufacturers testing their cars or occasionally race practice. I assume you've already checked the Nurburgring's own website for 'tourist drives' on the Nordschleife. Also, can anyone tell me when the track is open to the general public? Thanks. Given it's only open for 2.5 hours, is it crazy busy then? Does it often close at short notice due to accidents etc? It's a long way to go for 2.5 hours and if there's a high risk it'll be closed, it's maybe not worth it for me then.Edited by audi321 on Monday 26th June 16:44

And that is one reason why track days are a much better optionThere's usually a Tesla or two on track these days, bear in mind that they can't use regen, so they need the big brake option
