Seems like a lot of UK cars heading over this weekend for TF and DN…too much to expect that everyone will behave themselves?!
There was a funny thread on one of the facebook groups, a UK car was acting the clown sliding and speeding up and down between the roundabouts at ringwerk, 24hrs later they made the headlines when they weren't able to apply their hero driving skills at the track and after hitting a barrier continued driving with a very crabbed wheelaudi321 said:
Is there much at the Nurburgring (other than the track and a few restaurants/bars)?
Or can anyone recommend places to go to on the way from UK which would keep 2 kids entertained?
There is Fantasia land not too far away. Wildlife park in Daun. A big suspension/rope bridge. There’s two summer toboggan runs not far away. Or can anyone recommend places to go to on the way from UK which would keep 2 kids entertained?
Much depends on the age of your kids and what interests they have.

I really enjoyed yesterday, sure there were track closures, but everyone I talked with seemed happy with the driving standards
The weather dried up fairly quickly, and it wasn't too hot in the end either
Many thanks for the PAX lap too, that was great
Agreed! Was great aside from the hour and half closure in the PM. The weather dried up fairly quickly, and it wasn't too hot in the end either

Was mostly relieved it dried up after a slightly wet/spicy sighting lap.

Excellent let’s figure it out there, I have a half days instruction booked for the first day so want to get that under my belt first and hopefully will then be ready to put some respectable laps together for passengers later in the day or on day 2!
Nigel looked like we were of synch unfortunately …any time I was free to jump in for a lap you were out on track already! Not to worry next time we’ll get it done …another excellent DN event so much quality track time . Yes a black bmw …police were talking to the driver guess it’ll be a standard road accident investigation. I was leaving the track day at 5pm and it was chocka from every direction to get on there for TF ….cars and bikes it’s just a total free for all . I did a couple of TF laps over the last few days but it’s not that great an experience tbh the DN Trackdays are the way in terms of quality of track time and overall level of risk.
