I've been through a couple, started with a 306 GTi6, then a Megane Cup, and now a Mk3 Clio 197 which is really track only (albeit still technically road legal)

Looks mean but is all that areo effective for the pace the car moves?
What's the score with the bonnet and that scoop? Is it functional?
Nige is a weapons-grade OCD DIY car developer, it’s all there do to a job. What's the score with the bonnet and that scoop? Is it functional?

I really don`t want to derail this thread, but I`ll assume you are being genuine and not taking the mickey and so I`ll give you serious answer .What's the score with the bonnet and that scoop? Is it functional?
Yes, it all works, if it didn`t do anything it wouldn`t be on the car. The scoop on the bonnet helps evacuate air from the radiator and intercooler.
The pace the car moves?
Well, it`s pretty quick to be honest. Dunno what I can say that'll adequately convey that without coming across as a knob though .
It`s the fastest MK2 Golf ever round the Nurburgring by quite some margin, GPS recorded Max speed at the Ring is 163mph, if that helps ?.

none of it's functional and Nige just loves parking in the carpark and trying to find obscure 90s VW parts that he's broken
