These closing speeds...truly frightening! Until it dropped into low power mode this thing was insanely quick! Is this too quick?
Must be very confidence inspiring to the passenger seeing Mischa puffing out his breath and looking like he's nearly crapping himself every twenty seconds. biggrin
He is going to have a massive off at some point, crazy speed.
He is, He is a hazard and I think his partner knows it thats why she wants him to stop. At SX he had a code brown. He's driving TF like hes racing then saying to others to take care. STFU mate.

Is he really that much worse than all the heroes in their GT3s and M-cars who are chasing sub-8min laptimes in every TF session?

There other thing with a Tesla doing that speed there's a lot of science involved in stopping it (I'm taking involuntary sudden braking) with the weight of the thing. Straight through the barriers and a flame ball in the forest that can't be extinguished. Wouldn't surprise me if they banned them. I've seen some quick cars there's but that must be one of the fastest/heaviest combos. Really wouldn't want to be sharing tarmac with it tbh. Certainly not with an accident prone Croat about laugh

I was there on Sunday for the first time (just before six port I think) and went round in a rented Mini Cooper S, with an instructor, which took a lot of the pressure off, as at least someone knew what they doing and he was able to give a constant flow of info about what was coming up. Got some great weather before the track got busy. Well worth doing!

I’m not going to knock mischa or blow smoke up his backside as I don’t know the guy , but whilst his driving is a little suspect he’s no worse than a lot of people there , as has already been pointed out .
He’s also doing a great job at self promotion , I can’t be the only one wondering if he’s got his eyes on a bigger prize of some sort of presenters job ?

Issue is....he sets an example to thousands. The others don't. And the issue here isn't people driving fast, it's not considering other traffic. It's still very much possible to drive fast AND not fire it up the inside of every unsuspecting tourist. They're mutually exclusive.

That is probably the better way to do it, I really had to gee myself up to get it done before the rain and crowds.

Be interested to know what that set you back as I’d be interested in doing it next time?

I went through Rent4Ring and 4 laps in a Cooper S, with an instructor and reducing the insurance excess basically cost EUR1,000.

Which made it quite an expensive morning, however removed the risk of me totalling my own car (also I don't think the XC90 would have been quite as much fun!)

Well, you've managed to hit all the cliches in a relatively short post. Kudos.

What about this guy? Are you similarly angry with him for generating tens of thousands of views by driving similarly (and very visibly timing himself)? https://youtu.be/O6j7aPt8S30?si=N1Ig8cbFmz7q7Agv

Or is it just Misha you're angry with?

Latest look at me crackle map brigade muppetry doing the rounds the red BMW doing spinny things on the DH. Absolutely crazy. The idiots have really taken over the asylum I really can foresee the police and the Ring coming into 2024 with a very hard line to clamp down on it all.

I don't really understand why the German police aren't more active around The Ring. I only saw one car in three days when I was there this summer. I'm sure they get plenty of complaints about the behaviour of visitors, and they would stand to make a small fortune in fines as well as addressing the anti-social behaviour.

It feels like a no-brainer, but I'm obviously missing something.

They were there Sunday after track closed pulling everyone over out the front under the big sign.

Not expensive compared to binning your own car!

Who says. Cup 2’s don’t work in the wet?

Did a full tank of fuel on Friday. Was an absolutely immersive experience, in more than one sense at times.

If they were coming up in my Facebook and YouTube algorithm as much as Misha, then sure.

Just watched that. Nice empty track in his own car driving within his capabilities and doesn't overtake a single other person.

C70R...you're completely missing the point people have with Mishas videos either out of intent or ignorance. I'm not sure anyone is saying there's a problem with people driving fast at the 'Ring. My issue is. and always has been, his attitude to other TF users and the fact he regularly drives beyond his own ability. At no point in the video you linked does the driver either have a moment on his own, or with anyone else, and is arguably a great example of when it's suitable and appropriate to push. And the point is moot given that Misha should be the one setting an example of how things are done given his profile.

Anyone who can't see the difference between the above video and one of Mishas probably should stick to doing very slow laps in TF.
