Discussion
I think he is talking to a few people about this but nothing confirmed yet, plus he is sorting out the Spainish Trip which should be covered, are you thinking of doing this?

Hello Guys...
There's several dates available atm and the same ones are being hawked around by several possibles.
I know of 3 that COULD be proper ATDO Closed loop days (may even be the same day in the end) they should surface soon and would be OK with UK insurers but none are confirming/listing the date yet so obviously the deals not done and I'd guess they aren't keen. The Rings high risk in many ways.
German TDOs have the dates and are the only ones that are prepared to commit the dosh. Again, there are a couple of UK TDOs who are offered, but they know how much is involved and how bigger risk it is, so they don't tend to do it. The dates are expensive with the Germans, but then the Ring aint cheap. They obviously don't have ATDO/FAEO status though their dates would comply from the info I've had.
You wouldn't be fully covered but would usually have 3rd party as is required by German law.
Finally, the dates are early or late dates when the weather is variable? Isn't it always though? Its a very busy circuit, so in season is very rare. Its not out the question though.
I'll keep looking but as you've said, I'm busy with Spain theis year and I'm only looking at going with a few mates as such...
Be interested to see what Darren comes up with, and which date it is.
Joining the ATDO isn't too expensive, and not heavilly regulated/enforced.
FAEO is the same.
Andy
All IMHO ofcourse

No - it's my day.
I often piggyback Circuit-Days events at Spa (such as Good Friday then onto the Ring) as I work closely with Chris all year round (as per his site) but this date is mine - under the 'Destination-Nürburgring' banner. I've never been all that interested in offering other peoples days in isolation, mainly because I like to fully control the events I offer - although if someone wanted to do a specific Nürburgring TrackDay I know who's doing what and when.
I'm running this one in association with Bmworx Motorsport and BHP (Buckinghamshire High Performance), Russ & Sunny are very good friends (and customers) of mine.
Should be a blast

I figured it was the same day, just interested in who's it actually was.
ATDO/FAEO is a good idea then as no UK Insurer will cover a UK car on the day unless they get specific event cover (££££££).
Touristfarten has 3rd party from some, but a TD is different regs and a Ring TD something else again as I'm sure you're well aware.
Don't mean to sound up me chuff here, just it sounds like it may be coming my way...as it were
