Vuvuzelas (relevant!)
Discussion
So I am sure everyone is pretty fed up with all the news reports about vuvuzelas, but it got me thinking. One report said they produced 130dB, e.g. effing loud.
There's lots of reports about tracks not being allowed to operate because of noise emitted, I think Bedford and Thruxton have some of the harshest conditions enforced on them by the local authorities.
Question is, do the same kind of restrictions apply to football stadiums (stadia?) and other sporting fixtures? I can see lots of people bringing vuvuzelas to football games now, which would make them much louder than track days.
Can someone explain to me why one is allowed and the other not?

Because one involves people who murder polar bears with their dirty fire breathing oil burning monsters, and the other simply kill each other in hand to hand combat after 15 stellas or by heart attack from the burger van produce.
I agree by the way.
Have there been any cases where numptys move in to a house next to a football ground and manage to get it closed down cos its too noisy...
