New trackday tyres

Just picked up a set of Dunlop DZ02G's and was wondering what's the best way of getting them ready for the track or are they good to go straight away?

What do you do in a heat cycle? I've been told not to use them on road tarmac as it could damage them, but I'm not sure that the guy who told me that was speaking much in the way of sense...

It's a Pug 306, so nose heavy and front wheel drive
