If you work for about 45 years, then you have lost just over 1% of your quality adult life doing something you hate. By the time you have found something else and served a decent notice period, it will be 2%.

Don’t waste your life.

Moved jobs a while back, was full time WFH, promised the same at the new place and agreed a wage based on costs etc.. turned up and between the offer being made and my start date they had decided it would be full time in the office…

Started looking within a week as my trust in the employer evaporated.

Got invited back to my old job and quit a week before my probation ended.. the MD who had hired me and changed his mind on the WFH part went through the roof.

WFH was only important as I’m a single parent so it was justified and during the interview they had asked about why I wanted WFH and I explained my reasons

Surely it happened between offer being made and issue and signature of contract? If you signed a contract that didn’t have work from home enshrined in it then how did they back track on that?

Was in the contract but they “offered” a revised contract on day 1.. was clear what would happen if I did not accept the new one

I very much doubt you will get that level of teamwork in many other jobs as you had in the Police

Place I work now - we do work in teams but mostly remote with the odd day where we see each other if we happen to go into office at the same time

Sounds like you need a job where you have to go into the office a few times per week.
