Who do you know that has the coolest job?
Discussion
i've got a mate who drives one of these for the RAF:
which is pretty cool but he was actually disappointed with it having been given the choice for multi's or civvy street when the fast jet training pipeline backed up.
another mate [female] flies for the AAC.
but really, the only mate i'm really jealous of runs a club night, earning more in 4 nights than i do all month. also owns a travel agency specialising in off kilter trips [PDK and the like] and spends much of his time travelling and doing as he pleases.

I enjoy my work also - qualitative research - some of it with big auto manufacturers - but I do sometimes envy one of my younger brothers, who has carved out a very fruitful career producing somewhat eclectic pornography.
Eclectic in what way?!Olf said:

I do a lot of tree climbing work and through that know a few guys who do rigging for nature documentaries. Setting up camera's and hoisting up presenters in the tree tops in some of the most remote forest of the world. Mainly for the discovery channel. I think its pretty cool.
It is.Oxygen Thief said:

Bloke in my class was Team Leader of the Red Arrows for a while, founded the Blades display team, too. (we were friends briefly at school but I doubt we'd know each other if we fell over each other now)
Spent some time with him earlier this year. Very nice guy.HereBeMonsters said:

Just have a think about how they make English Breakfast tea. There is no recipe to follow, only an end product to compare against, the flavour of which is ingrained on the memory of all involved. Tea production (and therefore availability) is seasonal, so you can not always get the same variety and quality all year round. Hence the need to buy and blend teas from all around the World to get the same end product. The EB you buy in February is likely to made of completely different tea than the box you buy in September, but it still tastes exactly the same.
So point is, to call someone who does that job "a tea taster" is doing them a bit of a disservice. "Blender" perhaps, but they also have to negotiate on price, quantity and quality to secure the right teas. Knowing what you need is the easy part!
