Oooh look you share an IP...
Would just like to confirm that I don't know P30LAM although it is strange he has the same IP address. Judging by his garage, I know exactly who he is and lives in my local area, I see his cars regularly.Do you guys not have anything better to do than slam a 19 year old?
Didn't this guy offer you a job not 2-3 days ago? Didn't you say that you spoke to him and have now secured a job? Surely being offered a job in your dream industry by someone who lives around the corner would prompt a bit of a:
'Holy st! I know you/I know your car, I can't believe you live just down the road, this is fantastic. What's that? You're going to take me to the Mille Miglia, all expenses paid, even though you don't know me or my ability and it's around £2,500 in accommodation for the weekend, but my obvious enthusiasm has shown like a beacon over the internet and you think I have what it takes to really understand the supercar industry?! Geez whizz Mister, that's great!'

Beaver is right, and it just doesn't stack up. No no no, just does not stack up.
It's been rumbled.
OK, yes I have been following this from the start It's been rumbled.
I think we all agree that the the poster P30LAM, who came up with the unlikely job offer to the OP mtrants are one and the same person (or at least originated fro the saem IP address).
But I think people are mixing up jobdone101 with the above posters who seems to be a different person entirely. (although could be the same person, just not proven)
Or have I missed a revealing moment when all three are outed as the same poster?
I really am spending too much thinking time on this thread...

mtrants changed his name to jobdone101 for some bizarre reason. Its to do with insecurities I think.I think we all agree that the the poster P30LAM, who came up with the unlikely job offer to the OP mtrants are one and the same person (or at least originated fro the saem IP address).

Feel for the OP in some ways. Don't think he was here to troll but for sucked in by the banter and felt hecould not loose face.
PH can be a rough place for newbies who allow their egos to become involved!
My face was loose once. PH can be a rough place for newbies who allow their egos to become involved!

as in blatant troll/liar gets ousted and saves people wasting time in helping someone, then yes.
Well, with little to no evidence of that being a fact I find it difficult, and dare I say it rather immature to go after the guy with such opinionated, and almost bullying tactics as to completely waste two pages of what could have been genuine, valuable, advice for a young person looking to enter into a field that we as a collective may have some knowledge on.Or, as you say, let's throw him to the lions.
Let's pretend (as that's all we can do) that he is a fibber. Someone else comes along, who is a genuine advice seeking teenager, sees this thread, and would receive one of two things.
1. Gets scared off and thinks "sod that for a laugh" - no help to anyone
2. Sees a thread with some genuinely good advice on a PUBLIC forum where anybody could access it, and goes away a little more knowledgable.
I think it's rather sad when the forums first, almost reflex reaction, is to prove him to be a liar, searching IPs, picking up on each word that is typed.
Why not offer advice on the basis that he might be genuine and therefore either help him, or someone else who IS genuine searching the forum?
Or, as you say, let's go on a troll hunt, and hope that he is actually a troll.
