WORST BMW DEALERS
Discussion
You can get round naming them directly.
However, citing a dealer by name and giving a reason, would seem quite reasonable to me.
Maybe a "Dealer Advisor", where dealers can be rated (the good, the bad, the ugly) independently, would be the way to go.
Of course there are some brilliant dealerships out there.
But they seem to be very few and far between.

Many of the dealerships have recently changed hands too. My local recommended dealer, the one who looked after my E61 M5 and many others is now st! They are god awful. All the staff have been sent to different dealerships and having recently tried to buy a 640d for my dad from them the whole experience was a bit of a joke. Saying that, my other local outlet used to be a total farce. Now however, they seem to be rather favored in local circles. Mud doesn't always stick.
My dad had 4 series serviced at my local dealership not one service over the 10 year period went without fault, he was averaging 25-35k per year milage wise do they went in a fair bit. They lost his car on two occasions. Yet my father in law is now on his 9th bmw from the same dealership and not yet had anything to complain about

Agreed. It is a moving target and for me it is a question of building a relationship with a few individuals - if they move to another dealership, move with them if practical to do so.

Had my last 6 New BMW cars from "Listers Kings Lynn" never a problem with service or sales, always got the best offers there.
Bought my last car from Listers in Kings Lynn and was very happy with the service received. Also rate Cooper BMW in Norwich always very helpful whenever any of my cars have gone in.
Very disappointed though with my experience with John Clarke in Aberdeen.
Elms Cambridge.....awful in terms of booking, communication, technical knowledge, returning cars in an acceptable condition.....oh.....and basic manners.
Sytner Harold Wood....NO.
Eastern BMW.....very refreshing to deal with/cracking sales experience.
Listers Kings Lynn.....heard only good things and they were very reassuring on the phone. They know they're better than many of their competitors and that's why they'll be getting my business, long round trip or not.

Another vote for Kings Lynn. I used them after being treated like a child by Coopers even though Norwich was quite a bit closer. Also rate Cooper BMW in Norwich always very helpful whenever any of my cars have gone in.
