Can I get your guys thoughts on this:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202206287...

Good spec and colour combo and I actually really like the bodykit (not to full on). Never heard of the garage though and seems quite ‘cheap’ (similar spec one at a BMW garage is about £82k. Would rather but from a dealer but £12k is a big difference, not sure how exposed I would be ? (It has warranty until 2024 so thinking it should be ok?)

It’s fairly low spec. Has the laser lights but none of the packs. You can tell from the steering wheel, no wheel heater button etc.

As a comparison, BMW soon sold my 70 plate 3500 miles M5C with Comfort, Tech and Entertainment Packs for £72k recently.

I am actually not hugely worried about the packs, having looked at what each of them give I am not sure I am that bothered with any of them. Unless I am missing something......

Also looking at this one, like the lighter interior and a really good price:

Just difficult on resale as most people want the packs.

Thats a fair comment, most of them seem to only have comfort and maybe visability. The tech pack seems quite rare.

That’s the pre-facelift model if you hadn’t realised, which is quite different to the post-facelift car you posted previously. There’s quite a bit about the differences on this thread from memory.

Check the interiors between the two you have posted. Look at the buttons on the RHS of the gear lever. They are different. I’ve owned both.

The dials in the dash changed around the build date of August 2019

My 69 plate M5 was the first one I had seen with the new digital cluster. All the rest had dials.

Always happy to take advice! I think getting a 2021 will be the easiest way to make sure I get the LCI version. Bumps the price a bit though but definitly the one I want.

It didn't get it's running in service till it had done 2,745 miles, it's supposed to be done at 1,200 miles

That could cause problems with the warranty and is probably the reason it's cheaper and not being sold by a BMW dealer.

Gone the other way and am looking at this one now! Bit more than I was planning to spend but nearly new and good spec and colour combo. Only thing that worries me is the potential for epic depreciation!

Lovely spec and colour. Low mileage. They all depreciate and it’s already depreciated a lot since new. Enjoy a seriously good petrol performance car while you can smile

If that's an ex-BMW car I would be very careful. Some of them have been absolutely hammered, even with only 3k mileage. Usually the very low mileage AUC cars are ex-BMW. The reg is sometimes a giveaway, if it starts YL or YS or similar. I would definitely ask the question of the dealer.

It’s a relatively new M5, epic depreciation is a given.
