But why has it got a VC bolted to the front?

Blimey! I know dealers have to make a profit but blood hell thats ambitious. Will that really sell at that price? It might be just me but I couldnt buy it on principle alone knowing the facts.

Second time around on eBay too. Relisted almost instantly after nearing £5K first time around, along with the E34 M5 engine from the same seller being relisted.

£60K.
Pretty sure the same vendor did exactly the same trying to flip an M3 at near double the money on a car mentioned earlier in the thread. Bit cheeky, but then if you are buying with more money than brains, your problem.

This is most likely to be a scam as I contacted him the first time round when he advertised it and he refused to give me a contact number and view it but did offer it to me for 4K via bacs. So be careful lads don't want anyone being conned.

I quite like that M3, but the Sport Evo wings look a bit odd on it.

That vendor has a M635csi from the same auction for sale as well.

Anglia price £16,275, his price £30,000

Nice markup! eek

Nice to see you back on here Ben and thanks for the heads up on the potential scam.

The seller looks to have some rather nice engines for sale.

P.s. Any photos of your car yet? wink

£60K.
Dealers misrepresenting cars and manipulating the market really pi$$es me off.

I notice that the seller has failed to mention that the car does not have it's original engine. An important piece of information if you were about to shell out £60,000

That's the point I was trying to make when I was looking for one but no one was getting the point and I was finding it very difficult to buy one as all the trader where pricing them at ridiculous prices which people thaught that's what they worth. Now this guy has advertised it at 60k so when someone who has one looks on the net will think that's what they worth and will price it at around that price and people who want one will have to pay that price which is a lot of money for a e30 m3 and that's when the prices rise again. This guy previously baught the red one at the previous auction and advertised it the next day. A good original m3 is worth 25-30k and a one that needs work is 15-20k.

No it's not.

This car sold at auction for £34650, the buying market on that day in history spoke with £ notes, and the car isn't totally original and needs work, so you are a little out on your pricing.

Asking £60K for it is taking the piss.

No pictures of your car yet?

Here we go again

Ben, if you actually have bought that mysterious car that wasn't advertised anywhere you no longer have to be trying to talk the values down!

It's been ages since a good E30 M3 was £25k! We're not far off E30 325i's hitting £25k actually!

I ain't talking down prices. But I think I have under valued it then. 30-35 for a really good one. I'm just saying what they worth. for me commenting on how much they are worth on here doesn't make a difference im just saying what I think they are worth. Not every car is advertised. A few cars in the past month have been sold without advertising on the websites. So what you talking about. I have not saw a single 325i touch nearly 25k so stop chatting rubbish lol. Someone did pay 18k for a 325i shed and that's his fault for paying stupid money when he could of gone on the net and got it cheaper. Some people have more money then sense. The day 325i touch 25k then I will sell 4 of mine and buy a Ferrari. Also Im in the middle of a deal on a evo2 which has been catching dust for the last 8 years or so which also has not been advertised And I will be getting for a really really good price.

Absolutely, I would consider mine to be a good, honest and original car and unless personal reasons dictated then I would never sell it for 25k. The auction result speaks for itself.

One thing I will say though is that the market is very tricky to understand, I'm about to sell my 320is and gauging its 'value' is harder than you might think! I really don't want to send it to auction either.

Also I forgot to tell you there was also a red Cecotto which was sold about a week or two ago without being advertised. So that's 3 then. That was sold for 40k. A red one.

The market is tricky but if you want the most money possible then put it in a auction. If you don't want it to go to a trader who's going to make a profit then sell it to someone who really wants one. A 325i sport got sold on auction for 18k but people still selling them for 6-12k so best to put it in auction. A 320is is rare in the U.K. As I don't think much people have them here. I never saw one here. There mostly in Europe as its a Italian m3.

A mint low mileage E30 M3 will sell for close to £60,000, I personally know of one that sold for £55,000 last week.

I agree with the others, the E30 M3 in question found it's true value at auction for £34,000 ( I think that was expensive for a car with a replacement engine).

I take exception when the buyer of said car then tries to pass it off as a mint £60,000 example which it is not!!

The 325 wasnt a shed at all, i know the car.

A very low mileage 325 Sport would do 25K + now, today, and possibly more.
