It's their choice, let them do what they want, they bought the car.

BMW is most guilty of this these days anyway.

Indeed. Isn't it because BMW have stuck an M badge on virtually anything? Not sure most of these people think others will believe they actually drive an M3 etc.

The 'watering-down' of the M badge is partly BMW's fault, that is for certain.

Here we go again. This pops up every now and again on this thread...

For clarity, this thread is just to poke fun at people who put M badges on their non-M BMWs/ Vauxhalls / Mercs etc...

Let's sideline badges for the moment and focus on people putting wheels where they don't belong.

Take this E92 SE with the front alloys off an E46 M3 all round:

Ergh!

It's a really strange personal plate, unless his name is Xavier Rodrigo Gonzalez.

Is that the name that would put wider rears on a front wheel drive car? You know what... I think it is!

Your car so your call of course, but personally when I see those stripes on a car on the road I never look at the car a 2nd time. It just makes me lose interest immediately like how seeing an ///M badge does that's been slapped onto say a 335i etc tongue out

Black grilles fine. Coloured slats very tacky...
