F90 M5 Competition

Picked my 2021 LCI up a few weeks back, my first M car and really enjoying it at the moment.
Previous daily driver was a Golf R alongside a couple of high powered Japanese toys which I still have.
In the 4 weeks of ownership I’ve fitted a MSS HAS kit, 15/10 spacers and a M Performance Style front lip. I think that’ll be it for now as we have some road trips planned over the coming weeks and the kids would be rather annoyed if I take their favourite car apart for more modifications

Cold call - well email actually - this afternoon from local BMW dealer (who I have been a customer of for 20 years) offering a 6000 mile year old M5 Comp with comfort pack and few nice extras for £67K. Ouch!
Best check it out that's cheap IF it's any good. There may well be a reason for that.SL550M said:
My local dealer has an ex-demonstrator in a stunning individual sky blue (fully loaded) list £124k available for £87k. Anyone got any thoughts on whether that’s a decent deal? I’m looking to change my 540 and have been tempted by the M5 for a couple of years. Thanks all.
How fully loaded and how many miles?. It can't be an ultimate at that price point they are £130K+ new.SL550M said:

That’s what I paid for a 6 month old car with everything other than the carbon brakes. So pretty decent I would say, you can probably get a bit more off that as well.JMBMWM5 said:

No, not an ultimate. It’s Riviera Blue with Comfort Plus Pack, Technology Plus Pack, Visibility Pack, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound, 50 Years Badges, other bits and bobs. Not entirely familiar with what’s included on M5s. Car is Jan ‘23 on 5,000 miles. It’s actually sounding quite pricey based on the car being offered in an earlier post at £67k.
It's still a lot of car for the money, compared to an M3, AMG or RS Audi etc - as others said, there may be further movement in the asking price - my experience 12 months ago was bidding the dealer in the nuts, them saying 'forget it, no way' and then getting a call a week later asking if my offer still stood...the market is much tougher for main dealers now, so i'd be aiming lower still.SL550M said:

Sounds a nice car. SL550M said:

Mileage?I’ve just started reviewing a new car purchase - currently in a Macan (base) which has a Golf GTI engine.
Saying that cost me £70k in December and thinking of dumping that for something a bit quicker.. 🤣 I’d probably prefer an M3 but looking on pistonheads - £65k examples exist 2 years old.
I’d prefer to buy from a BMW dealer for finance and servicing/warranty. I also have a Mini Electric so know the local BMW dealer.
The question - anything I should avoid?
I do like this one -
