My coupe has covered 138000 miles now. I've had the rear subframe checked by a recognised indie a few times in the three years I've owned it. Each time it has been given a clean bill of health.
Could be a little overblown?
Would this be more likely in coupes being that they are more likely to have been tracked or is that just poppycock!?Could be a little overblown?

anyway, I would expect this to be one of the main areas of checking prior to purchase.
I'm going to be putting my cab up for sale shortly (in for MOT today) so it's interesting to see how prices for them seem to have hardened.
I've just got a couple of things to sort on mine - namely the front door cards, in which one of the previous owners decided to replace the standard speakers with aftermarket jobbies - not in itself a problem, but instead of getting speakers to fit behind the grilles he's cut holes out of the door cards and has the speakers "naked" - awful orange things.
Picking up replacement cards on Saturday!

That looks very nice in Velvet Blue. 'Mine' is a touch more somber but still looks lovely. I hope to collect it on Sunday if I can coordinate a few things to make it happen.I will post up some pics when I get it home and have given it a good clean and polish.

Picked up this little Beauty this morning.

It is as nice in the flesh as it is in the photos and drives very well indeed.
Some nice cars in stock and I would buy from Scot and Dave again as the experience was as I had hoped.
😀👍

Hi Steve
Do you mind me asking what it went for? mine is same year - few more miles but an individual colour (worth more?)
Looks well
It needs a good clean after the run back from Wigan and as soon as I get an opportunity I will treat it to some soap and leather.Do you mind me asking what it went for? mine is same year - few more miles but an individual colour (worth more?)

I paid near the advertised price which is very unlike me but I had seen a few wrong 'uns and knew I had to up my budget by a couple of £k.
I will pay for the big inspection 2 service with Redish Motorsport who seem to get a good write up. I will only be doing around 500 miles a year in it so annual oil changes should suffice for a while after that. My belief is that these cars are only going to increase in value so I wasn't to anal about having to buy cheap. I did very well with the sale of my 964 so all in all very happy.
I will have time to spend with the car at the end of the month so will be able to post my thoughts then but first impressions are good. A little tame in the exhaust note department as I had come from TVR (sleeved end cans Tuscan) and the 964 had de-cat and cup pipes so the M3 may be singing a new tune at some stage this summer :-)

So glad I didn't sell mine last summer
As a guide to the current sports car market, my 964 would have made only 66% of what it sold for this year. Not sure how the M car market is reflective of this trend as I have only very recently been looking at them. One thing is for sure, you did well not to sell last year unless you had your eye on something like a 964 that which may well be out of comfortable reach! :-)Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
