It depends on what you’re expecting. The comment about the concrete parts of the M25 is a good one - the tyre noise is noticeable. But much, much better than a hire car I drove recently fitted with some tyres designed to deliver good fuel economy.

The steering depending on the driving mode can feel odd on the motorway. Leave it in comfort and it’s fine - save the over modes for something with some corners...

One thing re my 135i I like the steering, defo.

135i is for sale atm, but getting close to pulling it

Ride comfort very good for an M. Slightly softer and bouncier than my 1M was but that’s great for daily duties.

Miss have adaptive M suspension though (on my M135i) and wish it was an option for M2. Could do with being firmer and taut for the fun times but I guess that’s why they have the M Performance aftermarket options.

M2 is night and day different. It's leagues better, really.

The comments on the Cayman being a better steer are valid. It's significantly better than the M2, that doesn't make the M2 bad, just that the Cayman is better.

The front end on the M2 is very good indeed, huge turn in and bags of grip.
