Well I had CB and always wanted Silver Grey. Agree with Imola Red or white. Both are pretty rare on the E46.

The best M3 colour. I have had more compliments on this colour than all my three previous M3s put together, and that includes Estoril Blue, Techno Violet and Cosmos Black

Great colour, Stunning car, really like LSB,PY & IR.

I have this theory about LSB and their owners, I've never seen a badly kept LSB, it seems that if you are that into an off the mainstream colour choice your a dedicated owner.

If it's a bright and sunny day it's hard to beat PY unless it's IR

Same for me in 3 and 1/2 years of owning the car only had one person say they did not like the colour every other has said would not of thought the colour would work until it is seen in the flesh and then they love it !!

Thanks for the nice comment its taken me ages trying to get the car looking spot on with out over doing it and many parts being fitted only to be removed wink

Here is a new photo with the latest front indicators which i think really suit the front of the e46 m3!!

KDS

your car is a credit to you, and I really like it, but the csl boot lid is trying too hard, the wheels yes, but the boot lid should be stricly for a CSL.

Sorry not my intention to offend as clearly your car is mint, just my view smile

Point taken and dont worry i am not offended at all !! That was the first mod a few years ago i done, and as more and more m3's have the csl boot lid i have slightly gone off it now!! wink

I love the Alloys KDS are they a slightly different tone/shine than the silvery looking CSL alloys? I think these alloys modernise your car with out over shadowing the classic e46 shape. I personally think the 18" standard M3 wheels now really look dated and make the car look its age, the 19" are an improvement for the M3 but having veiwed tons of pictures of M3's especially in the USA with all different types of alloys - i,m basically really liking your alloys how much would one have to pay to up grade?

Cheers Gary

Hi gary lepsons changed the colour for me !!!!
They work opposite me on the same estate !! We took months trying different colours and shades untill it was decided on the look the wheels have now!!

I had 19's on my car when i bought it and they had the usually milkyness under the laquer !!
After long talks with the onwer about the problem with diamond cut wheels always suffering with this problem, i decided to buy csl wheels just to get round the problem!
The reason why diamond cut wheels still do this after refurb is two things
1) The wheels go through various wash of plants at different stages and sometimes moisture can still be trapped in the castings even after they go through a drying plant !! Which in turn can start to blow under the laquer after time!
2) All you need is the slightest pin prick in the laquer from small stone chips , ruff washing etc and moisture gets in too or even worst nasty alloy wheel cleaner!

Here is a picture of E39 M5 wheels done in the same finish

same car with wheel in different light which changes shade

Price wise it does depend on size of wheel, if your leaving the car with them , and the or dropping wheels of only!! I do know that this finsh is slightly dearer as they get paint with two different colours then laquer to achieve the look!!
I pay a lower price as i send a few sets of customers wheels a week to them while i detail the customers cars in my unit !!!
I think its around £300 - £400 if you drop the car off and get them to remove the wheels and store the car!!

Have an RS6 in my workshop with 19 MTM alloys which are going in the same colour too this week!!

Here is a set of M6 wheels done in the same style !!

I love Phoenix yellow, especially on a car with the 19" wheels.

Mine was Pheonix Yellow and although I initially thought it rather bright, it did grow on me. Only 18" wheels though.
