Looking at the pre lci version - is there anyway of playing music in the car via Spotify on an iPhone?
You can plug an aux in or bluetooth adapter to the auxD4SH said:
Thank you! Budget of £18 - £21k, <80k, would like EDC, but not tried manual or DCT yet (although leaning to manual for greater driver enjoyment??). The engine will be the main entertainment , but would really like to be able to have hands free phone and listen to Spotify from phone. With this in mind, I'm guessing any car from 07 would tick the box?
Yes i think aux in is on all cars, I think if you go later you can stream from bluetooth.I'd go for DCT personally.

After driving a manual e92 M3 around a track, I loved it!I've tried a DCT version since (Not on a track) and I'm sold!
This is coming from a die-hard manual fan (Just sold my manual e46 M3).
I picked my 2008 e92 DCT up today.

Wow! There seems to be some serious love for the DCT, even from die hard manual fans (which I would also class myself as!).
I think that's because the Manual just isn't very good or particularly satisfying to use in the E92 M3, so it makes sense to go for the DCT because its quicker and more fuel efficient, and it suits the engines power delivery better. For some contrast, when I stepped out a DCT F80 M3 and an M2 back into my e39 (with a crap short shift kit fitted no less) it only highlighted how much of the experience the paddles take away.
Objectively superb but dull, dull, dull.
The only way to know for sure is indeed a test drive.

Don't get me wrong I agree and I genuinely don't like two pedal cars of any description, because for me it makes the drive less engaging straight away, and they make the car feel relaxing which isn't really what you want from a sporty car. Objectively superb but dull, dull, dull.

The E92 M3 is the exception I think though, I never even considered a DCT when I was looking for mine and I had to have it with three pedals, but the DCT is the better bet in that car for me.

Agreed. I find a manual gearbox all part of the fun and would never select a DCT box over one, even if it is a bit recalcitrant when cold. It's all part of the charm.Objectively superb but dull, dull, dull.

I have joined the fold! Went with the heart and gone with a manual. I've never had a car this quick before so feels plenty fast enough for me! It was also cheaper than the DCT, leaving a contingency budget for any looming bills.
I've not had it a day yet, but very very impressed so far
I'm not a fan of black wheels that adorn so many of these.

They are intoxicating. I thought mine sounded a little quiet when I was test driving it. I thought I would need to open up the aural experience a bit by doing an exhaust mod of some kind.
Having bought it though, and driving it for the last few days, I've discovered that the standard exhaust note is fine, and seems to get deeper when the car is fully warmed up, unless it's my imagination.
