I must get some Z8 pics - unfortunately it's a silver one with black, and not as exciting or adventurous a one as I'd have liked. Only problem was that when I bought it, it was the last new and unregistered one I could find - it's on an '02 plate. Looking for something nice to go with it at the moment. An '02 Turbo would be lovely.

Nothing unfortunate about that

Good choice, this used to belong to my boss, too scared to drive it though hence the sale rolleyes

Shame that it ended up at Munich Legends. It and all the cars like it seem to end up there, which I can never quite understand when there are buyers like me out there desperate to find this kind of stuff.

It's the easy option. You can bet most owners of an 02 Turbo or CSL/CSI etc. have other cars and a bit of dosh. I expect when they decide to sell they are not overly bothered about selling privately, get the best price, time wasters, no shows, could do without the agro I think.

Very, very tasty M3. thumbup

Nice one Bob! thumbup

Mine's booked in for full respray in about 10 days. I think I'm going to have the front spoilers completely removed (the rear Gurney flap just bolts on and off anyway)...can't decide whether? May get them taken off but resprayed as well then the new owner can decide whether they want it on or not. What d'ya reckon?

Hard to credit that your car needs a respray from those pictures Derin, though I know your standards are pretty high. When I say pretty high, I mean that they probably represent the sort of standard that would make the quality control guys at NASA look like they were having a laugh. I'd leave the spoilers on. As you say - they can be taken off, but in the meantime they certainly lend the car an air of drama - which I like.

ETA - Speaking of '02s, any word from your buddy regarding his? Is he just a messer?

Thanks Loach

Probably going to be the last car I do for quite a while...too much grief, stress and hardwork! Still want it to be a driveable car but just want this one to be as good as I can get it within that context. I have actually gathered together all the parts (lights, wheels etc) for a completely standard/stock look now and as everything except the front spoilers can just be bolted or screwed on and off in a matter of few minutes it would give the new owner the option to vary their 'look'.

Did have an email on a different subject but there was no mention of any 'white' cars I could drop him a reminder if you want?

Hi Derin! wavey

I think I would agree with Loach and keep the spoilers. They give the car a real bit of 80's DTM meanness. Your car is pretty immaculate, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you. Let us know how the respray goes and of course you will have to post some piccies up.
Any news on the 528i?

Forgot to add earlier, nice Evo kiko!

I would leave the M3 as nature intended, factory fresh and un-altered.

Thanks Bob! I love every second of driving it! I even putted my 996 Turbo a bit aside...

Its IMMACULATE with 65 000 original miles, with every MOT and invoice spent on the car since new!

It's rare to find them like that, I take it you will be keeping it for a long time to come! I really like the original un modded ones, there are too many thrashed and abused ones about. I'm jealous of everybody here, I need to pull my finger out when I get home and get myself a new toy.

I did see a red Evo for sale on Ebay last year, it was in central London had around 20k on the clock. It was absolutley amazing, but he wanted top money for it (obviously).

Thank you very much sir !

To be honest, the best ///M car of all time is a really tough one. They are all good and unique in their own separate ways. For me to choose just one is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard. What i do know is this, if i won the lottery then i'd go out and buy one of each model from the ///M car range from the very first right up to the latest.

I spent about 3 years trying to track down a black Evo Sport in very good condition. Travelled up and down the country viewing so called mint condition cars only to be dissapointed. Eventually found a couple of low mileage cars in the region of £25K-£30K but both were red! Thats when I ran out of patience and looked at the Evo2 that I later bought for half the price and lower mileage. Having test driven both the Sport and Evo2 on the same day nion back to back I could find no reason why I should pay nearly twice as much for essentualy 18bhp, less torque, red seat belts, fluffy steering wheel, sporty seats a couple of adjustable spoilers and some red stripes, oh and different colour wheels and fancy red HT leads!

With that said, I'd still be tempted if the prefect example came up for sale becuase I do think they are the dogs, but the head would rule the heart

As much as I love my e36EVO - the e30M3 is the winner of this vote in my opinion!
