Many thanks. I've re-checked the routine that gave me the count and spotted an error due to slight differences that the 'Individual' options were given. There were in fact 4 cars in Ferrari Red built between 12-4-17 and 23-5-17 along with quite a few other individual colours such as Metropolitan Blue, Atlantis, Grauschwarz, Frozen Black and Blue Hera Mica.

Not sure what the difference between the couple of colours that there are two versions of, maybe the same colour, but different manufacturer of the paint?

There are two for which the paint code is 'protected'.

I’m partial to Blue Hera Mica - I’ve never seen that come up for sale.

Almost bought a metropolitan blue one a few years back but it was pre-facelift so I passed.

Be interesting to see the protected ones!

Sod all miles though; and individual interior and exterior. If someone wanted a spotless example they wouldn't do much better - I think it's too reserved for the majority of potential M6 owners.

Hi Richard - interesting you say some colours are ‘protected’. My car is Blue Hera and I had a small scuff on the bumper repaired by an independent I use for small repairs. He had issues getting the paint formula - so is Blue Hera one of the protected colours?

And out of interest, how many are there in Blue Hera?

Yep. Looks like it has gone. It had been sat there since about May IIRC, so assuming it hasn't been sent to auction, that'll make someone very happy.

I don't think 'protected' means special colours, I think it means that the colour for that vehicle has been hidden so people can't find out what it is. I guess this may be wanted for a high profile customer maybe?

My figures give 2 RHD cars in Blue Hera.

A 17 plate car will have the electronic log book, you should be able to pull up it's service history from that on the iDrive screen.

I am picking the car up on Thursday so will check the service history. However, the advert does state it has full BMW history including the 1200 mile running in service.

May I ask what M6 owners are using from a theft prevention perspective. My insurer has not insisted on a tracker so I was looking at having an Autowatch ghost or Pandora alarm fitted. However, having spoken to BMW insurance who I intend to take out the fully insured used warranty with, they have advised that interference with the vehicle wiring/Canbus to fit an aftermarket immobiliser or alarm will invalidate the insured warranty terms and conditions.
