We're all dreaming!

If you pull the left paddle (prolonged) at the same time as planting your right foot, DCT will find the lowest possible gear and the horizon will become your new friend! smile
Thanks for that, I've been out for a play and fking hell, feels a bit like holding on to a raging bull!

I couldn't get it to work until I realise you have to mash the throttle past the 'click'.

Any auto will find the lowest gear it can (if it has kick-down), nothing to do with the left paddle.

Trying driving along and then mash your foot to the floor without pulling the paddle and it will drop however many cogs it can and then go.

As per -Z-'s original question, 'in manual mode'...

Was the same in my M3 DCT.

It seems I'm dreaming again.

I could have sworn there was a post in here from a regular contributor, in response to my earlier offering, telling me that pulling on the left hand paddle had, quote 'f-all' to do with the DCT box finding the lowest available gear in manual mode. For some reason this has disappeared... scratchchin

Funny how you can dream these things... HaHaHa

For the avoidance of doubt, and to prove I am the pub bore...

Taken from the manual we all read before driving these marvellous machines biglaugh

Hope it's legible smile

Edited as the first pic was a tad small.

That's good info.

So if i'm reading that correctly, if i'm in Auto then just plant the loud pedal into the floor? If i'm in Manual then do exactly the same with the loud pedal but also grab a gear with the left paddle & the clever computer will then sudo auto grab as many gears as it thinks i need to blow the Audi i'm racing into the weeds?

Just been told that there are some good contract hire figures coming up on 6 series. I am awaiting figures.

Nothing new on M5 or 6 tho.

I was offered a good deal on a 6 Gran Coupe (from stock) at the weekend (640d) – dealer deposit contribution approaching £15k – it’s currently £18K on an M6 I think.

You can get 30k off a new M6.
18k is BMW contribution + 9.5k dealer contribution = £27.5k….my dealer offered to up that to £30k without any prompting…so 64k on the road, with 4.9% apr.
The deal is pretty much the same as a couple of months ago….the discount has been upped significantly, but they've taken away the 0%.

Are these deals being offered through dealers or brokers? I haven't tried too hard, but the main dealer numbers are nowhere near what the brokers advertise (PCP). I want an M6GC and will happily share the details of any deal I get offered over the next few weeks and would naturally be interested to know how others get on.

A few dealers.

My local couldn't get near but one listed in the early page of this thread (BMW Thames Ditton) managed to do the deal.

Try Craig MacQueen at Peter Vardy BMW in Edinburgh. He offered me £30k off the M6.
Might be something similar on the GC.

Yeah, I asked the question to EWFS last week, because the rates had gone up on the M5 and went down on the M6..I was told the M6 was a typo and it was then corrected… It seemed that someones been tinkering with the advertised rates again…M5 is back down to December rates and the M6GC is insanely cheap….must be typos.
