My 2015 LCI car with 91k miles (owned from new) recently showed a sudden noticable increase in oil consumption from a predictable 1l top-up after 12-13k miles (not long before next service) to wanting one every 2k or so.

Diagnostics revealed the crankcase ventilation system was blocked which was causing the oil loss. Turbos absolutely fine, thankfully. It's being fixed now.

I've decided to perform oil services on half intervals from now on.

Over 4000 miles in the past year, I have been averaging 18.5MPG, with best average 20.5MPG and worst 16.5MPG. Calculated off the tank, not the car computer.
Who buys an M5 and then worries about petrol consumption? laugh

Had my F06 M6 for over 6 months now. Loving It.

Absolute beast on straights, if only we had unrestricted autobhans here!

3rd gear 90/100mph...go figure.
